Snooze hits franchising top 10

Bedding retailer Snooze has been ranked as one of Australia's top 10 franchise businesses in a recent survey voted for by more than 2,000 Australian franchise owners.

Snooze emerged from the survey as the bedding and furniture favourite, the only business in its industry to make the top 10 in the survey by topfranchise.com.au - an independent consumer franchise service.

The survey analysed franchisee's satisfaction with their current franchise business, specifically focusing on franchise renewal, recommendation, lifestyle and business support.

Snooze managing director Simon Beaty said Snooze's success was due to a number of factors, including the provision of better financial guidance for franchisees.

"We've made a concerted effort in the past few years to offer an increased level of financial advice and support for our franchise owners - a key factor in any successful franchise business. It's great to see our franchisees appreciating and responding to this support and being recognised in the topfranchise survey.

"Over the past 12 months, we have also seen a 72 per cent increase in our franchisees willingness to recommend the business, which is a big tick that we're on the right track."

Snooze recently appointed Alistair Browne to the role of franchise network development manager, who will drive the company's ambitious growth strategy as Snooze expands its existing franchise network.

Another recent appointment was that of Sarah Baxter to the role of national marketing and brand manager.

Beaty said the new management team and strong brand offering would make Snooze's targets achievable.

"We've seen an increasing number of our store managers actually purchasing their own Snooze franchises. It shows our people really believe in the Snooze brand and range of products, which is very encouraging for us."

Snooze has also recently signed up to the member discount scheme with motoring bodies including NRMA, RACQ, RACV and RAC, entitling card holders to 15 per cent off Snooze purchases. The promotion is designed to drive customers to Snooze outlets.
